A Privacy-First Menopause App – From Concept to Launch

Project Overview:

TALIA is a privacy-first menopause app designed to help women track symptoms, manage HRT and make sense of change over time.

But this wasn’t a client project.

TALIA was conceived, built and launched entirely by the directors of CREATE — from the initial idea through to product design, development, brand, website, content and marketing.

It represents the full extent of what we do: bringing products, brands and content together into one cohesive, working system.

The Gap:

Over 1 billion women worldwide are in peri, menopause or post-menopause — yet the technology designed to support them is only just catching up, driving rapid growth in FemTech.

Symptoms fluctuate. HRT requires consistency. Appointments are short. And most existing apps rely on cloud-based systems that require women to hand over highly sensitive health data.

Based on lived experience (Kate is 50 and suffered with peri-menopause) we have built:

  • A tool that prioritises clarity.
  • And helps women stay consistent.
  • And an architecture approach to privacy that doesn’t ask for trust — because it doesn’t take the data in the first place.

The challenge was to build something genuinely useful, technically robust and emotionally intelligent — while keeping the experience simple.

Our Approach:

We approached TALIA as both product creators and storytellers.

That meant making decisions that balanced:

  • Technical architecture (on-device, privacy-first)

  • Real user behaviour (inconsistent routines, changing symptoms)

  • Emotional reality (not feeling like yourself, needing clarity)

We didn’t overcomplicate it.

  • No dashboards full of noise and ‘support’.
  • No advice or diagnostic engine.
  • No community layer.

Just a tool that helps women understand what’s happening — and stay consistent with what they’re doing.

What We Created:

This wasn’t a single deliverable. It was a complete product ecosystem — conceived, built and launched entirely in-house.

iOS App (Product)
A fully native iOS app (with Apple Watch companion app) designed and developed from the ground up:

  • Symptom tracking with severity and context
  • Structured HRT management and reminders
  • Structured ‘Other Meds and Supplements’ management and reminders
  • On-device trend analysis to reveal patterns over time
  • A downloadable Doctor’s Report to support better consultations

All built on a privacy-first architecture — with no accounts, no cloud infrastructure and no data leaving the user’s device.

Brand & Positioning
We developed the full trademarked brand from scratch:

  • Clear, calm and human tone of voice
  • A strong point of difference built around privacy and practicality
  • Messaging designed to cut through a crowded, often noisy space

Website
We designed and built the TALIA website to:

  • Communicate the product instantly
  • Balance emotional connection with practical clarity
  • Support launch, PR and ongoing growth

Visual Content
All photography, video and launch assets were created in-house:

  • App Store preview video
  • Social-first campaign content
  • Product visuals designed to stop the scroll

Marketing & Launch
We planned and executed the full go-to-market:

  • App Store optimisation (ASO, screenshots, video)
  • Social campaigns built around real menopause experiences
  • Outreach to experts, advocates and press

The Result:

A fully realised product — conceived, built and launched entirely in-house.

TALIA demonstrates what happens when product, brand and content are developed together:

  • A clear and differentiated position in a crowded market

  • A product that solves a real, everyday problem

  • A privacy model that challenges the norm in health apps

  • A brand that feels calm, human and trustworthy from the first interaction

And importantly — it’s not static.

With ongoing development, content and growth, TALIA continues to evolve as both a product and a platform.
